Facial yoga is a series of exercises that promise to do for your face what yoga does for your body: relax and tone muscles. This trending practice is claimed to be able to maintain your beauty, naturally.

Facial yoga rejuvenates your face within minutes and brightens it up. It also relaxes nerve connections. So, let's get ready to do these 7 simple and effective facial yoga techniques to reverse the signs of aging:

Surprise Me!
Widen your eyes trying to expose as much of the white in your eye as you can. Then squeeze your eyes tight. Open it wide and squeeze it again. Keep doing this rapidly till your eyes seem to start watering. Now close your eyes and relax. Do this exercise for 3 to 4 minutes.

By doing this expression, you're exercising the muscles around your eyes and your forehead. This exercise improves the eyesight and may even help get rid of spectacles over a period of time.

Get Cheeky!
Breathe in from your mouth and puff both your cheeks for a couple of seconds. Now release the breath through your mouth and repeat for 8-10 times.

This pose strengthens your cheek muscles and prevents them from becoming thinner and looking hollow. If you look at people who play the saxophone, they always have firm cheeks. When you use a muscle in a specific way, it changes the facial appearance. So, do this exercise for toned and plump cheeks.

Chin Up
Hold your chin such that thumbs of both the hands are below the chin. Start pressing the chin from the lower side and move upwards only with the help of the thumbs. Do this for 2-3 minutes.

This technique helps you to get rid of constipation and improvises digestion. It also helps you to get rid of upset stomach.

The V
Press both middle fingers together at the inner corner of the eyebrows, then with the index fingers, apply pressure to the outer corners of the eyebrows. Look to the ceiling, and raise the lower eyelids upwards to make a strong squint, and then relax. Repeat six more times and finish by squeezing eyes shut tightly for 10 seconds.

This exercise is good for drooping eyelids, crow’s feet, eye bags and puffiness.

Smooth the Brow
Place both hands on the forehead facing inwards and spread all of the fingers out between the eyebrows and hairline. Gently sweep the fingers outwards across the forehead, applying light pressure to tighten the skin. Relax and repeat 10 times.

This pose is good for horizontal forehead line.

The Giraffe
Looking straight ahead, place the finger tips at the bottom of the neck and lightly stroke the skin downwards with the head tilted back. Bring the head back down to the chest and repeat twice more. Finally, jut the lower lip out as far as possible to pull the corners of the mouth down and place finger tips on the collarbone with the chin pointed upwards. Hold for four deep breaths.

This technique is good for lines and loose skin on the neck.

The Flirty Eyes
Place an index finger under each eye, pointing towards the nose. Hide the teeth and tease the top lip and bottom lip away from each other at the mouth. Flutter the upper eyelids while gazing at the ceiling for 30 seconds.

This pose is good for deep eye hollows and drooping eye brows.

It is recommended that you do the facial exercises for 20 minutes, six times a week. It may seem like a lot, but you’ll see results quickly.
