Wheatgrass Juice Recipes for Weight Loss

Wheatgrass is clearly beneficial enough to drink on its own, but its flavor can be slightly unappealing. Thus, drinking wheatgrass shots day after day can become boring and uninspiring. It is after all, just grass. So, try mixing your fresh wheatgrass juice with other fruit and veggie juices to ensure you are still getting all those incredible health benefit. Here we give you two wheatgrass juice recipes for weight loss:

Lemon Wheatgrass Juice

Ingredients:

  • A handful of wheatgrass, wash them with lukewarm water to get rid of dirt, insect and mould.
  • Half a cup of water
  • Half a lemon
  • Salt

Directions:

  1. Place the wheatgrass in a Wheatgrass Juicer.
  2. Pour half a cup of water into the juicer and blend it well.
  3. Strain the wheatgrass juice before drinking to remove the indigestible pulp.
  4. Squeeze half a lemon to it with a dash of salt and stir well.
  5. Drink this juice every day in the morning on an empty stomach to quickly get rid of the extra pounds.


Apple Wheatgrass Juice

Ingredients:

  • 4 apples, juiced
  • 2 ounces fresh wheatgrass juice

Directions:

  1. Combine the juices together in a Wheatgrass Juicer or mix together very well.
  2. Distribute evenly between two glasses and enjoy.


Notes:

  1. Wheatgrass can’t be juiced in a standard blender however, so it is important to make sure that you purchase a proper wheatgrass juicer to receive the health benefits.
  2. Consuming the right quantity of wheatgrass is generally considered safe. However, since it is grown in humid and moist conditions, chances of contamination from mold and bacteria are very high. The risk of infection increases especially if you consume wheatgrass raw. It must be washed properly before consumption.
